Nanosolar Raises Funding

Abstract:
Nano-based solar company Nanosolar announced Thursday that it has closed a $20-million Series B round of funding. Mohr Davidow Ventures (MDV) led the round for Nanosolar. Additional investors include Mitsui, OnPoint Technologies, Benchmark Capital, and others. The funds will be used to commercialize Nanosolar’s product, a thin-film solar technology that the company claims is 10 times as efficient as traditional cells.
