Universities work on carbon nanotubes

Abstract:
The optical properties of carbon nanotubes are to be investigated by a joint team from the universities of Surrey and Southampton.

The EPSRC has granted the researchers £373,000 under its Next Generation Electrophotonics programme, with the recently discovered non-linear properties of nanotubes of particular interest.
