Micron chief lobbies for tech funds

Abstract:
The leaders of two major semiconductor companies called on Congress Wednesday to spend more on research on information technology to protect America's dominance of the computer industry.

The group is also asking for a $20 million increase to enhance the National Institute for Standards and Technology's research capabilities on nanomanufacturing and nanometrology.
