Why does nanotechnology concern me?
Abstract:
Nanotechnology is currently generating huge interest amongst the media, scientists and industry, with many stakeholders heralding it as the next industrial revolution - earmarking it to eclipse information technology and biotechnology. Despite this however, many businesses still don't understand the potential of the technology and some are sceptical about its long-term potential. This scepticism also seems to extend to consumers, where there seems to be an underlying fear about the environmental and health impacts that nanotechnology applications could bring.
A conference entitled 'Why does nanotechnology concern me?' will take place in Brussels, Belgium, on 25 and 26 April.
