Abstract:
3rd International Exhibition on Photonics Equipment and Technologies

Photonics World 2005

February 22, 2005

Realize the tremendous potential of photonics The event of the year, The Photonics World 2005 will bring together a wide diversity of multi-national corporations and technical professionals, and this event will grant them the gateway to source, network, establish business contacts, and discover the innovative breakthroughs of this new era. The 3rd International Exhibition on Photonics Equipment and Technologies in Southeast Asia, will be held from 4 - 6 May 2005, at Halls 402 - 403, Suntec Singapore.

This event has drawn the attention of over 200 companies from more than 20 countries, as well as pavilions from many countries/areas. These pavilions include Singapore, Hong Kong, The United Kingdom, USA, Australia, Korea, China, Europe and Fiber To The Home (FTTH) Council, with Singapore leading as the largest pavilion to date. In addition, the exhibitors are taking this opportunity to introduce their new technologically advanced products; some examples are Veeco, who is introducing their new NanoMan(r) II Atomic Force Microscope (AFM) and Wavelength Technology who is introducing their latest lenses and vision products for 2005.

Today, the optics/photonics industry is estimated to be worth US$90 billion. In addition, this figure is projected to triple in 10 years' time, reaching approximately US$700 billion in 2025. The better news for robust industries like photonics and nanotechnology is that the government will certainly exploit promising technologies like biotechnology, new materials, and there will be leverage on the competencies to move into new growth areas like photonics and nanotechnology.

Therefore, be amazed by the emergence of new innovations with the concurrently held Nanotech World 2005, the 2nd International Exhibition & Conference on Nanotechnology in Southeast Asia. Also be drawn by the Opto-Electronics World 2005, the premier international exhibition on optoelectronics technology, components, equipment and new materials. In addition, the above 3 incredible events will be co-located with the SEMICON Singapore 2005.
