Water boosts nanotube growth
Abstract:
Researchers from the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST), Japan, claim to have used water to solve many of the problems that currently plague carbon nanotube synthesis. The scientists employed the liquid to boost catalytic activity during the chemical vapour deposition (CVD) of single-walled carbon nanotubes.
