By Sumitra Rajagopalan: On an otherwise quiet afternoon, the stately auditorium at McGill University in Montreal was abuzz as scientists from across the province came together to participate in NanoQuebec, an annual conference showcasing the state-of-the-art in nanotechnology – or at least what passes as nanotechnology nowadays: anything.
