Abstract:
Though part of a much larger system, the Albany campus is smaller than UWM, with about 17,000 students. But SUNY-Albany is pursuing a $500 million fund-raising campaign and has put itself on the map in nanoscience and nanotechnology. The Albany NanoTech center has brought in about $1 billion in investment, much of it from major companies such as IBM, in the last decade.
