Diamonds could be a biosensor's best friend

Abstract:
Researchers at the Technical University of Munich, Germany, and r-Best coating in Austria have modified nanocrystalline diamond with protein molecules in such a way that the molecules remained active. The team also attached the enzyme catalase to a diamond film, creating a biosensor that could detect the presence of hydrogen peroxide.
