Grants boost training groups
Abstract:
Two industries in the Lansing area are getting a boost by a new state grant program to create regional partnerships of business, labor and educators across the state. Grant applications for regional skills alliances were submitted by 26 groups across the state. The 13 alliances selected for funding including eight focusing on health care, two in manufacturing, one in construction, one in utilities and a statewide alliance in nanotechnology.
