Abstract:
A Detroit area partnership targeting workers in long-term health care is among 13 regional consortiums that will be seeded by state grants, state officials announced Thursday. The Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Growth announced more than $1 million in grants to create regional skills alliances, partnerships that bring together businesses, unions, universities and community colleges to address problems such as skilled-worker shortages.
