Houston may be big leader in small field

Abstract:
Tiny cameras, tiny heart pumps, surgical procedures using very tiny incisions. In the world of modern medicine, some of the biggest advances have come from getting smaller. In some cases very small. Subcellular small. Raquel Welch in Fantastic Voyage small. Medicine has now reached this level -- inside cells, where the machines of life work. At the forefront is some of the latest work in nanotechnology, minuscule devices and probes that can embed in cells and circulate through blood vessels.
