UMass makes organization for nanotech
Abstract:
When it comes to scientific advances, a number of researchers at the University of Massachutts at Amherst are thinking small - tiny tools to slow the release of drugs; miniature storage units for tech devices; and a new generation of microprocessors to help shrink laptop computers. The work in nanotechnology now spread across a wide variety of UMass departments will be coordinated under a new organization named MassNanoTech, which got $200,000 in seed money yesterday from Jack M. Wilson, UMass president.
