PSivida lifts pSiMedica stake to 100%

Abstract:
Nanotechnology firm pSivida Ltd has acquired full ownership of its United Kingdom subsidiary pSiMedica Ltd for $57.8 million in scrip and cash. PSivida said the full ownership of pSiMedica would enhance the rate of development of its BioSilicon technology and lift pSivida's appeal to institutional investors. PSivida will acquire the pSiMedica shares it does not already own from its joint venture partner in pSiMedica, QinetiQ plc, and other minority shareholders.
