Korea to Boost Competitive Edge of Chip Equipment

Abstract:
The government will create a consortium for patents involving semiconductor manufacturing equipment, raw materials, parts and displays, consisting of industry, academia, research institutes and government organizations, to prepare for patent related international disputes. It will also establish two Nano Technology Centers in the country and exert full-fledged efforts on attracting investments from Japanese semiconductor material and equipment manufacturers to improve competitiveness of local manufacturers.
