Microscopes embrace hyphenation and nanotechnology

Abstract:
Two major trends in the field of microscopy are taking center stage. The first, consuming a significant segment of the industry, is generating hyphenated systems that combine microscopy with spectroscopy. This hyphenation is driven by an ever-increasing demand for higher productivity and faster results. The demand is met through a consolidation of steps in sample handling and more detailed spectra.
