NNI Budget by Agency

Abstract:
As part of the FY 2004 Budget, President Bush requested $849 million for nanotechnology R&D across all of the agencies that participate in the NNI. This represents an increase of approximately 10% over the amount appropriated by Congress for FY 2003 budget request. As much as two-thirds of the funding proposed under the NNI will support university-based research. The table below presents the proposed budget breakdowns by agency. As Congress has not completed the appropriations process, these numbers could change.
