Abstract:
Christine Peterson is co-founder and president of Foresight Institute, a nonprofit that seeks to educate the public, the technical community and policy-makers on nanotechnology and its long-term ramifications. As part of her work, she directs the Foresight Conferences on Molecular Nanotechnology and organizes the Foresight Institute Feynman Prizes. She writes and lectures on nanotechnology to a wide variety of audiences to make this complex field understandable, and clarify the difference between near-term commercial advances and the "next Industrial Revolution" arriving in the next few decades.
