Nanogen shares soar on patent
Abstract:
Shares of Nanogen Inc. jumped more than 50 percent Wednesday after the company said it received a U.S. patent related to the fledgling field of nanotechnology and nanomanufacturing. San Diego-based Nanogen, which develops molecular diagnostic products for genetic testing, said the new patent could lead to nanoscale electronic and photonic devices for data storage or medical diagnostics.
