India, Australia renew scientific ties
Abstract:
India has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Australia for collaboration in frontier areas of science, marking the renewal of scientific ties between the two countries which were severed since the Pokharan nuclear tests five years ago. As part of the MoU, Australia has sought the transfer of technology in the fields of agriculture, nanotechnology, biotechnology and advanced materials, in which India has rich potential and expertise.
