Naval research lab opens nano center
Abstract:
The Naval Research Laboratory this week officially opened a center in Washington, D.C., for nanoscale fabrication, manipulation and characterization. The Nanoscience Research Laboratory, which cost $12.7 million, boasts 5,000 square feet of Class 100 clean rooms, 5,000 square feet of "quiet" and "ultraquiet" lab space and other microscopy and fabrication equipment.
