Abstract:
The Sixth International Conference on Nanostructures (ICNS6) is due to be held by Sharif University of Technology on Kish Island, Persian Gulf, on 7-10 March 2016.
Among the objectives of this international conference, mention can be made of studying the existing challenges in the field of nanostructures and strengthening cooperation between the Iranian and international researchers in the field of nanotechnology.
The topics of the conference are as follows:
Nanomaterials, nanobiomaterials and nanocomposites
Nanostructures in energy, water and environment
Nanobiotechnology and nanomedicine
Nanostructures in electronics, photonics and plasmonics
Nanomaterials in catalysts and photocatalysts
Carbon nanostructures
Two-dimensional nanostructures
Advanced production and characterization methods
Nanosensors and nanobiosensors
Standardization and commercialization
Risk assessment and ethics in nanotechnology
A number of university lecturers will deliver speech in the conference, among which mention can be made of Prof. Paul Weiss, the editor-in-chief of ACS Nano and distinguished professor of University of California, Los Angeles, Prof. Luis Liz-Marzan, the editor-in-chief of Langmuir, Prof. Ali Khademhosseini, the distinguished professor of MIT and Harvard University, Prof. Peter Fratzl, the head of Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces, Prof. Hans Jurgen Butt, the head of Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research, Prof. Sir Mark Welland, the head of Nanoscience Center of University of Cambridge, and Prof. Kenneth Suslick, the distinguished professor of Illinois University.
The deadline for paper submission is 30 September 2015. For more information about registration in ICNS6, visit the conference’s website at /www.nanosharif.ir/page.asp?id=489.
