Aculon NanoClear Stencil Solution Wins 2014 Global Technology Award at SMTAI

San Diego, CA | Posted on October 12th, 2014

Aculon, Inc's innovative stencil nanocoating - NanoClear - has won yet another industry award. NanoClear received the 2014 Global Technology Award for the Stencil category at the recent SMTAi International.

Earlier this year NanoClear was awarded the New Product Innovation for the Stencil category from Circuits Assembly at the APEX Show.

The benefits of Nanoclear include reduced bridging and insufficients, reduction in print variation due to crisper more consistent prints and lower overall operating costs due to reduced under stencil wiping and use of consumables.

NanoClear is the global market leader for stencil nanocoating and is used by many of the leading stencil producer, OEM's and CEM's. NanoClear is sold and distributed by many leading companies including DEK. In addition the use of NanoClear is endorsed by major Paste suppliers such as Indium as it improves the quality of the paste printing and by cleaning companies, such as Kyzen, as it dramatically reduces the magnitude of the understencil cleaning challenges.

"When we launched NanoClear the original perception was that this technology was only for hard to print boards, however real world experience has shown that NanoClear can improve the performance of any stencil and as such we have enjoyed tremendous adoption by many leading companies. The fact the we won a Global Technology Award from SMTAI is just further validation that nanocoatings are here to stay and that it is becoming broadly accepted as a way to improve yields and lower cost" said Edward Hughes, CEO of Aculon.
