Agar Scientific - part of the Elektron Technology Group - is pleased to announce the recent appointment of Paul Balaş as Technical Sales Manager. Paul joins Agar Scientific from Ronexprim SRL - where he was an Executive Director and the Area Sales Manager for PANalytical X-ray equipment and FEI electronic microscopes in Romanian territories - bringing with him a wealth of technical knowledge and experience that will be a tremendous benefit to both Agar and its customers.

A graduate of the Politehnica University of Bucharest in Romania, Paul has a long history of working with - and an in-depth understanding of - a wide range of laboratory instrumentation, including optical microscopes used for metallography, X-ray spectrometers, X-ray diffraction systems, atomic absorption spectrometry and UV spectrometry, as well as equipment used for mechanical testing and chemical analysis. This expertise was key to his success at Ronexprim, where his responsibilities included management of customer and partnership relationships, technical consultancy and site surveys, as well as business development. Paul commented: "I am delighted to have this opportunity to contribute to the success of Agar Scientific, and look forward to getting to know our distributors and customers. It will be a pleasure to work with them, using our joint expertise to grow their respective businesses in relation to Agar products."
